Burnham Market (10 miles)

Blessed with a wide and grassy village green, lined with Georgian and Victorian houses, Burnham Market is well-worth a visit.
No longer a typical Norfolk village, more a destination, you will find a number of good restaurants, food stores (only one small MACE supermarket though) and numerous coffee and classy gift shops. Gone are Groom’s Bakery and West Norfolk Radio hardware stores alas, but still nice.
It does have a petrol station (Mason’s garage) on the Creake Road, where there is a good little local store and a fish & chip shop. There is still a small auction on the green First Monday of the month and it’s worth a stroll around with a drink at the pub, but many locals think it’s a bit ‘Disneyland’.
